Talking I want portabello mushroom recipes!

So I bought 4 large caps at Sams last week, and used one in veggie fajita quesidillas (it was fabulous btw!), but I want something to do with the rest of them! I only like them sliced or diced-- can't deal with them whole, lol. Anyway, give me your best recipes! The more strongly flavored the better!

Now that it's SPRING(!!)

we usually marinate the whole cap, put it on the grill, then slice them when they're done grilling. For marinade, you can just use any kind of italian dressing you've got around the house.

Also, my friends made portabello 'burgers' once, while camping. You finely chop the caps, mix with bread crumbs, egg, some olive oil and whatever else you want (garlic, onion - kinda like meatloaf), form into patties and either fry or grill. You have to use enough egg and oil to get them to stick together, however, since there's no natural fat in them.

Good luck!

I don't have an actual recipe for you, but I love the Portobello Ravioli at Olive Garden. They chop the shrooms up and put them in raviolis and have an incredible smoky gouda sauce over them. I swear they could put 3 pounds of it in front of me and I'd probably eat it all.

I often grill the caps and use them in place of burgers, on a bun with a little cheese and mayo. Sometimes dh will grill them, slice them, then make a dip type of thing out of cream cheese and garlic (I think, will ask later) and although it doesn't sound that good, it reallly is!

Will check my Moosewood cookbook for more
