I can't help you out, but I, too, have been searching for that recipe! IF you find it, please pass it on!

how about cuban beans and rice?
This is Mona's recipe-- she used to be an AW regualr:
Cuban Black Beans

1lb beans washed and soaked over night
3 onions chopped
1 green pepper chopped, though I sometimes use red bells if I find a good price
4 cloves of garlic crushed
however much cooked ham you like, or liquid smoke if you are going veggi or kosher
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp ground cumin
2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tbsp salt, i like to use sea salt, has a richer flavor
1 tsp black pepper
3-4 cups of water
2 tbsp cider vinegar

mix everything together in the crock pot and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5

It is TOOO good! I think I am going to put beans on to soak!
