Tricks to grilling veggies??

Does any one soak their veggies in water or something else before grilling? If something else, what??

Um..nope, not us. We just toss it on the grill, and baste with a yummy marinade if we feel like it. I have heard of soaking corn, though, in the husk, and then it steams when you roast it.

Normally I drizzle with olive oil and that's all. I use a grill pan though, rather than an actual grill.

I cut it up into large-ish chunks and marinade (usually in a soy-ginger concoction, or with olive oil, fresh basil, and garlic) for an hour or so. Then, I'll toss it ont he grill on one of those grill topper things (basically a big piece of aluminim mesh, to keep it from falling thorught he grill grates) If I don't have any grill toppers on hand, I'll pop it in a big piece of foil folded into a packet to steam it.

A little Olive Oil with sea salt on thr grill, I do the same with a cast iron pan inside for beans and asparagus and carrots.
