Well....here's how we make it. My kids call it broccoli cheese rice and they love it.
Cook your rice however you do.
I make a white 'sauce' with milk, flour, salt and pepper then add whatever cheese I can spare--usually some cheddar and lots of colby jack. Dice up broccoli or use frozen diced if you're lazy like me

put the rice in a buttered caserole dish add broccoli and toss a bit, then cover in the sauce. You can save some cheese aside to sprinkle on the top near the end if you'd like. Oh....350 for maybe 20-30 mins?
Um....sorry for no 'measurements'....I'm a pinch of this...some of this...add a little of that cook....but....it usually turns out no matter what.
