Yep, I do it all the time. You can put a whole chicken or any parts with bones. Frozen is fine, just needs to cook a bit longer. The meat will usually just fall off the bone. I think there is no better way to cook chicken, the meat stays so tender.

You can put just about anything in with them. Salsa, BBQ sauce, marinades, cola........you name it. I like to rub them with Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb seasoning and toss a couple of pats of butter in, and serve with rice. Dh loves it.

I've never put anything frozen in the crockpot. I didn't think it was safe! Learn something new all the time!

Okay, our fave recipe for bone-in split chicken breasts is to have some carrots and potatoes cut into cubes and put at the bottom of the crockpot. Add one onion, cut into quarters. Add a about 2 cups of water. Place chicken on top. Sprinkle one whole dry onion soup mix packet over the top. Cover and cook on low all day.

Yum! Flip the breasts a time or two while cooking to mix the onion soup mix in with the veggies.

Serve with rolls and a green veggie!
