Peanut Butter Meta-cookies

I found these in a cook book and decided to try them. I thought they were really good (the batter was heavenly!!!) and I found you can't even taste the wheat germ and bran! They tasted like the peanut butter cookies I grew up with

1 1/2 cups natural chunky peanut butter
1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar (next time I'm only going to use a cup)
3 eggs or equivilent substitute

Cream these together, then add:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup natural wheat germ
1 cup natural wheat bran
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
pinch salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips or rasins, if desired

Mix well. Roll into 1 inch balls and flatten with a fork. Bake in a heated 350 oven for 15 minutes (I used parchment paper on my cookie sheets). Cool on racks. I got a little more than 3 dozen, but it probably would of been more if DS wasn't helping (ie, batter on the floor) and if the batter wasn't so yummy!
