Pumping and pumping and pumping

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE nursing my baby girl. It's a wonderful way for us to reconnect after I've been at work all day. I am grateful as anything that we've been able to bf this long and hopefully will continue to do so for another couple years.

BUT, boy am I getting tired of pumping. I started working on July 1, 2008 and have been pumping the whole time, it's just getting old.

I do like the break where I can stop and think about my daughter and it helps me relax for a few minutes and makes me feel I reconnect w/ her even though I'm @ work, but the whole procedure is just getting old.

So, she's 19 1/2 months old now and I've been pumping for 15 1/2 months since I was home the first 4 months with her.

Anyone else pump that long or longer? I want to hear happy dappy stories of people who pumped longer and loved it, hee! Even if you didn't, I like hearing I'm not alone!

Way to go!!! I just stopped at 12 months. I'm still nursing at night but i'm not pumping during the day anymore. She also doesn't nurse during the day when i'm home as i don't want to start the demand up again. I was done with it. I wasn't pumping enough to replace my supply and what she needed so we stopped.

again congrats on your dedication!

Thanks everyone, it's been hard, but I will keep on. I've thought so many times about stopping, but a part of me is afraid to stop for fear my supply will dip or that she'll want to stop nursing because I'm just not ready for that. I'm sure it would all be fine, but I guess I need to be there mentally, heh.
