bouncing bunny I'm starting to work next friday!

I have been offered a job to waitress at a local VFW serving fish fries on friday nights from 3:45-8:45. I have worked there in the past and made really good money. I don't get paid by the hour because it's a VFW so I volunteer my time and work for tips. I usually make anywhere from 60-100+ dollars in tips. It's only five hours of work and I really enjoy it there. This will be the first time I will leave hunter to go work. Honestly, I'm excited I know he will be fine with jason and I can't wait to make some money and get out into the 'real world' It will also be good for jason to get a taste of what I do at home all day. He seems to think I just hang out

Jason was working two part time jobs. He recently quit the one in order to work full time at the higher paying job. I will only be waitressing for 6 weeks at the VFW, I am covering for someone. After that I plan on looking for a part time waitressing job, maybe three nights a week. I really think it will be good for all of us. It will even things out a little bit.

Congratulations! You sound excited about it. And, it sounds like a good opportunity for you guys. Hunter will be fine with his daddy and you'll get the opportunity to get out and take on a different role for a few hours a week.

"Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?
Jesus said until him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And, the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments have all the law and the prophets."

I have to admit I am looking forward to getting a job outside the house. To talk to adults and interact with them lol.
I bet Jason will gain a new appreciation for you.

That's awesome! I have fantasized many times about getting a waitress job for the odd evening. I have done it in my younger years and loved it. I work from home so I seldom get out, but I miss social interaction and I am not one to go out with friends to "hang out". You sound excited and that is awesome money! WTG!!

I have waitressed for my entire adult life, even when I had a "real job" teaching school before my kiddos were born. I really enjoy it; the money is great!

It sounds like a great oppourtunity for you! I'm glad you're getting out for a bit and having some 'you' time - making tips is a bonus! You sound so happy about it

Nice! That sounds great. When I was done with waitressing in my mid-20s, I felt very done, but now I long for the quick cash and no-take-home-stress aspect of the job. It sounds like a perfect setup.

Thanks everybody! yesterday went great! I was there for 5 hours including setting up and taking down and I made 115$ in tips! that's 23$ an hour!!! It was great to be working again! I never thought I would be excited to go to work. It felt good to get out and make money! It is only temporary as i am covering for someone but last night they told me it might be for the next 10 weeks!
