checking in here - has been a while.

How is everyone doing with work over summer break? I know it seems even harder for me knowing everyone is home but me. lol.
Plus we're doing overtime right now so I'm gone an extra hour a day.

I have my family set up pretty well.
Monday- movie
Tuesday- library
Wednesday- public pool
Thursday- karate for Roman, thrifting for the girls
Friday - music therapy and playdates

Plus we have a pool so Tom takes them out most afternoons and I've stocked the closet with art supplies for projects.

I call often and talk to them on breaks during the day, but I almost look forward to them going back to school so I won't feel like I'm missing stuff. Selfish, I know.

Works going well. I feel like finally after a year I know what I"m doing for the most part.

So how are you guys?

I've been picking up extra hours lately. Good for the cheque, not so good for getting my boxes unpacked. I'm glad I have most of the summer to be able to get the unpacking done without taking time away from Zack.

Zack is spending most of the summer between his grandmothers and fathers house, like he does every year. I have Wednesdays off, so every few weeks I am taking the Thrusday off too on a week where I dont have to go in till Friday night so he can come home on Tuesday night and stay till Friday day. This week is one of those weeks - and his birthday!
I miss him like crazy over the summer, but we talk and email frequently. At least he's with family, even if it's not me.

Crazy busy, it seems. I am secretary at the kids school and they don't understand that work goes on, even when they are out of school. I am only working 9 til noon Monday through Thursday, right now, unless something comes up. I am 1/2 a block from home, so the kids call and visit often. Sometimes way too much.

They go back to school August 18th, so I look forward to being home most of the same hours that they are (I only work 30 min before school starts and 30 min after school gets out)
