How long do you wait for pymt?

I got a couple orders, one on the 18th, and one before that, and I still havent gotten paid for them.

I have emailed them both 2 times with no reply.
Should I email again, or at this point assume they are no longer interested in their order?

I dont want to keep emailing and bugging them, but I dont want to give away their order if they really did want it.

What do you do in these situations?

What I do generally is wait a day or two, and if I haven't heard back from them, send another email just letting them know the items have been put back into inventory, and they're welcome to resubmit the order if they would like.

I had this happen to me recently. I emailed the woman, asking her if she still wanted the item, she said yes, then said that she didn't feel right about sending payment without having the product in her hand.. HUH? She also asked about the forms of payment. I emailed her back, and told her again the forms i accept, and I haven't heard back from her.

One thing that I do is I call them if I don't get any response from an initial email. I ask for phone #'s when placing the order for this reason. It has cleared up many problems. Sometimes the customer just couldn't get the payment to work for some reason or another and it helps me to know what is going on on their end. I like to have any loose ends tied up within a week, so if they don't pay right away, I email them within a day, then if no response within a day or two I call.

Yes, picking up the phone is sadly usually my last resort but it solves things so quickly that I'm starting to take that route sooner. As far as waiting for payment, I have a couple of checks/money orders I'm waiting on right now that I've had orders for about a week and a half now. They're both small orders so I'll probably give it another week and then contact them again to say I'm restocking.
