Ligatures

For anyone who writes De,

The combination of De can be written as a ligature if the e is epsilon. According to Vimala, ligatures increase the potential/power of the letters exponentially.

I taught sage the GE of her name as a ligature- she seems to like it and it works for her.

Question More on ligatures: be

Hi Deb,

If you get a chance, I would love if you could write a description of how you are doing the De ligature. I am interested in a be ligature in my first name, and I’m assuming that it would be done in the same style as the De.

Peace,

Hi Kimberly --
let's see if I can describe this -- the capital D ends with a loop to the right -- I extend the loop over to right to make it the start of the epsilon (reverse 3) e.
The b would work the same way. I've been practicing my signature, at Vimala's suggestion, and I already love it.
We'll have to write to each other to see our new look!

I am practicing my signature too and am finding it a very intersting experience. I noticed some time ago that my last name (my husband's father's father's name) was very indistinct compared to my first, which Vimala discusses.

But, I have also tried writing my maiden name and the last name still feels very different from the first name.

I have, for about a year, been leaning toward my name being my given first and middle names, with the middled spelled diffently than it is legally and l like it.
