Miracle Notes

Hi all,
Vimala talks about keeping miracle notes as one works with the 40 day cycle of practicing. One reason is that we tend to forget how we were like and then don't acknowledge and celebrate our changes.
So in the spirit of that, I thought we could share our miracle notes online.

I have been practicing my letter Dd -- D is about who we are in the world.

My lower case d has a loop in it and that implies a severe sensitivity to what others think and fear of criticism. (True for me!)
After working on it for a few weeks, I had a breakthrough class yesterday (I attend a monthly spiritual self-development class) where I realized that who I thought I was was wrong. We were using the Myers Briggs which I hate because it never fit me right. Turns out I am one type (ENFP) who was highly socialized and trained to act like and INTJ. I had tears of RELIEF and joy when I realized this. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Miracles beget miracles

Deborah,
Your post hit home for me. As a D is the first letter in my name and I don't have the book yet (it should be delivered tomorrow -- got it from Amazon for even less the $8 with shipping) I was not sure what D was all about. I have been practicing the Vimala D which is much more sedate than my usual flairy and large D so I am having to tone it down. I am not sure what the book would say but I would imagine it would say that my public person and my real person are different. Anyway, your discription of D mission being about who we are in the world so hit homefor me. I just spent 8 months in a healers training course to finally said to myself -- I am a teacher not a healer so I quit. My whole life has been about defining myself in relationship to the world. Wow. Thanks you for sharing.

Everyone's name is very significant, espcially the first letter. So it makes sense as a fellow D'er you would relate to my story. (I too am a teacher not a healer, although through teaching comes healing.) Good for you figuring it out. Thanks for sharing ...

I am trying to change my J. I have a very distinct J at the beginning of my name with a little tiny closed loop at the top. I have a feeling that that is related to 'tying up' my gut instinct. I may be wrong, this is just my interpretation of the book.

Your interpretation is probably right! When we have a feeling about something, especially if we don't filter it, it is probbly more accuate than what a book can tell you.

How funny, until I just reread what I wrote I didn't notice how ironic it was that I wasn't trusting my gut instinct telling me that my closed loop J had something to do with tying up my gut instinct!!!!!

Yes, I'm Practicing

I was so excited. I got the book last Thursday and read through it in two days. I did a silly thing and read for 4 hours in the middle of the night. Needless to say I wasn’t up for much the next day. I decided to work on M because I’d like to experience “a certain grace in relationships.” Also, I am practicing the letter I and L. I but I am a bit confused about how the Personal Pronoun I can look different from the regular I. Does any one have some ideas about this?

One of the things I have noticed is that I am letting my neighbor talk and I am not talking over her – thank you M. This feel like the “grace” I was hoping for.

I'm in Ann Arbr

Hi Natalia,

I am really in Pittsfield township south of the airport. Where is Clinton Township? We've been here eight years and you'd think I'd know where all these places are but I don't. Are we near each other? This would be so exciting.
