okay, i just saw the answer in another post. sorry to waste your time.

and that is it for me. i've been trying to decide if i should go vegan or just vegetarian, but there's not way I'm giving up cheese AND honey!!!
i guess I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian. i think that's right.

okay, while you're here, i'll ask another ?...

i have seen lots of people say that people who eat fish are not vegetarians, but then i thought i had seen a title for people who are lacto-ovo's with fish. is this untrue?

People who eat fish are called pesco-vegetarians. Personally, I don't consider them vegetarians. I don't know why eating fish is any better than eating chicken or cows, kwim? Fish are animals too. But that's just me...

I agree with Becky. I don't consider fish eaters to be vegetarians. I hate it, absloutely hate it when I go to a restuarants and ask what vegetrain selections they have. We have fish...or chicken. I point out that I'm a vegetarian and they say some vegetarians eat chicken...I tell them that they're not real vegetarians then.

I don't think its any better; its just different. My personal deal is that I only eat fish, geese and duck. The reason is that those are animals that I could kill myself if I had to. I can't tell you why its any different than a buffalo, cow, pig or whatever else. I don't eat chicken for an entire other reason. It's not that I don't think they don't have any feelings or whatever, its just a personal choice that I sortof think those animals are made for me to be eaten, and others are not. To each his own, I guess.
