ISO... Vegetarian finger foods

I am not vegetarian but I have many friends who are. I'm often invited to potlucks and other gatherings that I need to bring a meat free dish (eggs and dairy are OK).

One friend always bring Hummus so that is out. I'm tired of bringing a veggie tray. Any good tried and true foods that are easily eaten while standing and holding a plate? Oh another friend usually brings Quiche. Also several of us are doing some form or another of low carb.

Thanks
Sharon

We like to take whole wheat pitas and spread plain or flavored (veggie, chives?) cream cheese on them. Then we sprinkle with shredded carrots, chopped bell peppers, chopped cucumbers, diced tomatoes or whatever you like. Then cut into wedges and serve!

A variation is to spread cream cheese on an herb wrap, cover with chopped veggies. Roll wrap up and then slice into bitesize pieces.

yum... sounds good. I've done the rolled up ones before but with some sliced sandwich meats in it too. Amazing how my meat eating brain didn't even think of leaving meat out of items I usually make.

I love to bake so I usually bring muffins, cookies, breads.

How about bean dip and chips? Nachos?
