Happy Feet -- What a disappointment!

I actually looked forward to this movie for MONTHS. Based on the previews, I just could hardly WAIT. So the day it was released, we all trekked off to the show and forked over our money.

It was good for about the first 20 minutes. After about an hour, it started getting way too long. After about an hour and fifteen minutes, it started getting way too preachy.

Here's what I wanted: I wanted a feel-good kid's movie about a different kind of penguin with HAPPY FEET. I wanted to laugh and have fun at the movies.

Here's what I got: Scary scenes with seals with razor-sharp teeth and crazy eyes. Other scary scenes just for the hell of it. And a huge whopping dose of how human are ruining the planet and yadda yadda yadda. This theme has been DONE to DEATH in kid's movies. I was really bummed. Still am. I want my two hours back!

Oh, what a bummer! I really wanted to this one too because it looked like such a fun flick.

I totally agree. We took the kids to this last night, and I was really, really disappointed.

Even the kids were bored. I guess they made their money, though.
