Murali ~ Ladder 49 was the same way for me. Keaton and I watched it together and I just KNEW that someone was going to rush in at the last minute and save him! At the end I just sat there shaking my head and whispering, "It's another one of *those* movies. These should come with a &*#(!@ disclaimer.". And I just sat there shaking my head for a solid 5 minutes after the credits rolled. I couldn't believe it. I cried for 2 minutes and then stayed pissed for 3 hours lol
That's how I was with City of Angels...that movie disturbed me for weeks because of the ending...grrr. I have enough reality...give me my happy ending, gosh darnit! LOL
Re: scary movies and ghosts... I don't watch scary movies AT ALL. They don't necessarily bother me when I see them, but they stick in my mind forever and come back to haunt me later...like usually when I'm home alone at night.
I've never believed in ghosts though. I lived in a house when I was a kid that previous owners claimed was haunted, and the house my family currently lives in (where I spent about 12-years) is right next to an old cemetary. Apparently, their house was originally built in the early 1900's for a church pastor. I'm told it's likely that funerals were held in it...hehee I've never seen anything weird...and my cousins and I used to run around "our" graveyard at night chanting stuff like "dead man, dead man, come alive." LOL
My dad has always been fond of saying, "It's not the dead ones you have to worry about...it's the live ones who will get you."

LOL! Even when they were at the end, and a few days later, my mind was still trying to convince me he was going to walk through the door any minute, even though, rationally, I knew there was no way he could... I spent the next half hour sniping about it to dh, and even now, feel royally gypped! LOL
Melanie ~ Are you serious!? lol Girl, you got more balls than me I think I'm braver than most ... but ain't no way I'm goin' there! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ague6/8eek.gif If you do get a recorder and pick up any evp's I want you to share them with me, Okay? I will just live vicariously through you in this aspect, alrighty?
Sure! One interesting thing about the EVP site mentioned in the movie is that people were able to communicate back and forth with loved ones who had "transitioned"; the ones I read about lost children in auto accidents. I lost my best friend to cancer at 38, and DH's younger brother was accidentally killed at 16 (with DH's gun, but not by DH), and both DH & I have unresolved issues (well, not really "issues" but I can't think of a better word) with these people. So I guess I'd be one of those people who wanted to communicate with a specific person.
I think it would be neat to get an EVP. In fact, I've already joined a local EVP msngroup, LOL!
