I found you! Ha ha - you thought you could escape! lol.

Thank you so much for this thread. Life is so serious and heavy these days - just drooling, dreaming, and tappin' my toes is such a relief!!!!

Nic - did you send those files yet? I didn't get them if you did. No big hurry, just wondering if they got caught in my spam filter. I can for sure take a big file because I have my own server with lots of room! (it helps to have a big geek brother in the familiy )

Beck Definately my first love before Jack. I haven't seen him since his Midnight Vultures tour waaaay back when I lived in Austin. I saw his Odelay tour in Portland loooong before that. gosh I am old. I saw his new cd in STARBUCKS of all places the other day and if I had had a few extra bucks I would have picked it up. I have pp though and I am going to use it to pay for an itunes copy. They were playing jack and loretta in their rotation though so it was cool. I was studying (have to escape the family if I am actually going to retain any of what I am reading, lol) and it was so cool to hear it above me.

oh - and my 14 yo dd is just as in love with JW as we are. I have not gotten used to agreeing with my child that someone is hot. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGG!

oh - forgot to tell you what my dh's big dream is. (no, he does not think JW is hot, lol. He's not that metro!)

He wants Jack White and Jack Black (ala Tenacious D) to do a project and call it Black and White. I have to agree - that has some serious rocking potential.

LOL! Jack White and Jack Black would be awesome! Maybe my dh would actually get over himself and LISTEN then, since he LOVES Tenacious D!

Nic, just send the files when you are ready..I will see them in the morning..I hope!

Speaking of sharing with dd....oh, god....Suki has started noticing guys...I am so NOT ready for this! She doesn't tell me, but I am tuned in enough to that kind of stuff that I can see it. This will never pass my lips to dh, though...if you think *I* am not ready for this... LOL

DH, who is a musician, HATES them and pokes fun at the simple basslines and instrumental playing all of the time, says our 2.5 yr old plays more sophisticated drums, but I still like them...I like it simple! ROFL Musicians can be such "snobs".

Y'know who my new crush is? Well, I have 2 actually...Adam Levine (Maroon 5) and well, not really a "crush" because I don't have the "hots" for any of them, but I am nuts for their music, "The Killers"...love em! I also love me some "Queens of the Stone Age"
They were here within the last 2 years...kids and concerts don't mix too well tho! I saw them once when I was about 16 or 17...87' or 88' and again in 96'. I'm lovin' the killers too! Smile Like You Mean It is my fave right now. Yep, Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol, Von Bondies, Modest Mouse....but ya know mama...everyone thing that appeals to me today, reminds me of something else...from my youth

I'm not so computer savvy...no music files here BUT....check this out

These girsl are awesome, they're 10 and 13. Also if you get a chance to look for Pretty Girls Make Graves, Death Cab For Cutie, and the Kaiser Chiefs...I think they're worth a listen.
