Let's share - best of best children's movies - what do you love?

I am in love with The Muppet Movie and Lady and the Tramp. What do you show your kids? What do you love to watch? Let's make a big list!

thanks, Cathy

OMG how could I forget The Little Mermaid?! My absolute favorite Disney movie until I remember another one! LOL

I also love Labyrinth. DD likes this movie too! And that reminds me of The Princess Bride. Not really "children's" but my child likes it!

I LOVE Willy Wonka! My kids do too except they call it Hoompa Loompa.

They have been watching Nightmare Before Christmas a lot lately.

I love Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh. Loved it when I was a kid way back when so it is really sentimental for me to watch.

My kids love Maggie and the Roast Beef(LOL that is what my oldest ds calls it!)

I have grown fond of Elmo In Grouchland since we watch it often. My 2 yo is in love with Elwo and Nernie.

They liked My Neighbor Totoro, need to buy that.

My 4 yo ds favorite movie is Creepshow and Evil Dead but they aren't kids movies.

We love The Iron Giant & my son LOVES Shrek (he's 2 & doesn't really understand it, but it's the only movie he'll sit all the way through over and over again).

Anne of Green Gables
Pollyanna (with Hayley Mills)
Summer Magic (with Hayley Mills)
Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Any Shirley Temple movies
Any and all Winnie the Pooh movies (he's my favorite )
Oh, and my dd who is now 14 loved My Neighbor Tortoro way back when she was about 4-5. I'd love to find it again and buy it for my boys.

My Mom bought a bunch of movies for the kids for Christmas. She wanted them to see what movies used to be like. So we got Lassie, The Black Stallion and the original live action Jungle Book.

My kids go thru phases. For awhile, all DS would watch was Toy Story, then Nightmare Before Christmas, then Shrek/Shrek 2. Now he's on a Disney gig.

DD loves anything to do with dogs and unicorns. Right now Air Bud is her fave.

As for me -

(Candy Corley - are you reading this????)

The hills are alive
With the sound of music . . . .
la la la laaaaaa

I like the Hallmark VHS. My mom has the Sarah Plain and Tall ones, and the Anne of Green Gables ones. I like that wholesome stuff, LOL. Willie Wonka always makes me humble when I think of them having nothing but cabbage soup to eat.

For the gentler set we love Franklin and the Green Knight and Little Bear's movie.

I enjoyed:

Jimmy Neutron and Dinosaur

My kids love any animated Scooby Doo movie and I've got to admit, I like those too.

My kids like most movies. I don't hold many in high esteem though.
