Best place to buy Airline tickets??

Also, when is the best times?? I am planning on going on August 27-Sept 3rd. I checked a few places and they were a least $200 more than I paid 2 years ago.

I always buy mine at www.orbitz.com. I always get a good price, though sometimes I have to be flexible with my dates a little. And they leave me flight updates on my cell phone before my flights too HTH!

Do you think it will bne cheaper to buy my tickets now (we are going in August) or wait? I tried Orbits and so far they had the cheapest.

I have found that it is best to watch fares for a while if you have time. Also, go directly to airline websites in addition to orbitz and those types of deal finder websites. I have often gotten cheaper fares directly from the airline website.

I agree with Orbitz. They have fabulous customer service as well. We used them when we got stuck in Indiana due to 9/11 (we were supposed to fly back 9/12) and they were really great to work with. They also let DH cancel one of his flights (even though they say they won't) because he had chosen the wrong airport. We always go through them now.

I'm not sure about when the best time to buy tickets might be. If you think they're pretty pricey right now, maybe wait another month or so and reevaluate? We have had some instances where more than 3 months out was more expensive.

We've always gone through yahoo travel. Prices were comparable to the airline websites.
