Question We have a 17 hour drive (in 2 days) coming up with 18 month old...ideas?

Any ideas on what we could bring with us to help keep her entertained? My dad will be bringing his travel dvd player...so I am ISO some Sesame street or similar dvd's for her to watch a little bit. Thanks!

My Boys, now 5 and almost 6, have been riding shotgun for our 10 hr ride to my mom's since birth!

They sleep alot, but I alway have crayons & *new* coloring books, along with those Crayola Color Wonder Markers & pad.

I always make a trip to the Dollar Store (ALONE!) right before the trip so they have stuff to play with that they have never seen before.

Unless you want to stop alot, pack a lunchbag with juiceboxes & snacks.

Good Luck!!!!

Cryaola has a new thing, its markers which only mark on special paper. The smell I do not enjoy but when I traveled with my 14 month old I do not end up with a marker on my car seat.

My best drive. I set up my laundry basket with pillows in it, on top I placed a bunch of toys so he could reach them easily but they would still be safe. I could also reach them from the drivers seat without taking my focus off the road.

A bunch of inexpensive toys he had never seen before also helped and music he loves kid music with kids singing.

Oh spill proof staw cup that he can open and close. I use teether rings to tether it to the car seat so when he tosses it to the floor I can reel it back in.

goodluck
