Add yours. You know you have a teenage girl (or any teen really)in the house when....

~You pick her up at the mall and she's wearing dads camo pants and jacket that she raided

~instead of an easter bunny you trade for a Jack Skellington doll to go in her Easter basket

~you never have any earrings cuz they've all been borrowed

~your favorite lipstick goes missing once a week til you finally buy yourself a new one and hide it

~She raids YOUR closet looking for something "old and hippie 80's" to wear with her new pants

~you find yourself picking up the phone and talking into it before dialing
(ie. "chelsey, i need the phone. please hang up")

~you say 'turn it down' at least twice a day. more on the weekends

~You have to fight for internet time after 8pm

~there are holes from buttons (the kind you pin to a shirt or bag) in the lampshades in her room

~You agree to take her to your church parking lot to... gasp.. teach her to drive!!

My favorite teen thing of late is when my dd turned to me, and in all seriousness said, "Mom, why is it that I never realized until recently that there are hot guys everywhere.

Aaaaaaaaackkkkkk...the teaching to drive one really hits home. My oldest understood the concept of driving, he was *easy* to teach. My second child however is TOTALLY different........he had an accident the first day with his driving instructor. Who would let a person (first time behind the wheel) pull out on a MAJOR six lane highway with NO experience at RUSH HOUR?!?!?!

He's had a lot of ummm....oooopsies. I know he's still learning, but geeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz~ My sister said, he's too smart to know how to drive
Hopefully he'll have all the kinks ironed out before he gets his license~

well, i've promised to take her... but its not happened yet. She has to wait til May when she'll be 15years and 7 months old - and because we'll have her final report card and alot of the driving stuff will depend on her grades.
i'm really just stalling tho.
Teaching her to drive scares me.
PLus i have to buy a car to teach her on - i think trying to teach her to drive in dads work pickup or my huge dustbuster of a van is just ... wrong.
lol

We're considering buying an old beater for $800 or so for her to learn on and then drive. we'll see tho. It all depends on her grades in May

Okay, my favorite is when Sarah's guy friends think I am *her* on the phone~~
Cracks me up every time I answer the phone just to hear this deep male phone say "hey"... Yea, Hi yourself..."What's up"...Not much, who do you want to talk with?..."Umm, is this Sarah?"...No, sorry sweety, let me get her for you...

LOL! Too funny!!!!!!!!

I'm kinda excited to teach my dd to drive... she won't be driving for awhile but I think it would be fun to take her out on some back road some time. Maybe I've done gone and lost my marbles LOL

I'd have to add that I know I have a teenager in the house because she cries over everything. Other day she was crying because all the dishes wouldn't fit in the dishwasher so I wanted her to wash some by hand. I'm such an evil wicked mother I guess.......

yeah well you know you got a teen DAUGHTER when aunt flow happens exactly the same time even when it is a wild month adn it comes twice in a couple weeks for her, then a day later it comes for you 2 weeks early!

You know you gotta teen dd when you are driving to Curves for a workout adn she bats her eyes and sweetly says, Mom can I drive?

You know you got a teen dd when everytime you are ruinning errands she sweetly can get you to buy her something in an extremely smooth fashion. Whether it be an eggroll or a pair of shoes
