all the posts I have made are not showing. Any reason why?

Are you using the site search function (it doesn't work)? Try using the search button at the bottom of one of your posts

??? I thought the site-wide search was working now - though it may be missing posts from before January (when it was fixed).

May I ask if you were looking for your username with or without the "~" tildes? Because if you were trying to do a search on your exact name but left out the tildes, nothing would be found.

Gail, just one more question if you don't mind... Did you put "~Gentle Spirit~" in the "search by keyword" section of the search, or the "Search by username"? I get lots of matches from "search by username", but hardly any if I "search by keyword". I think that's how it's supposed to work - "search by keyword" doesn't search in the signature files or in the username field from what I can tell.

when I want to see my own posts I just click on my name at the top of the screen when you are on one of the main pages.

Gail, that actually makes some sort of sense. When you put in your search words down there at the bottom of the forum page, it's just like going to the main search page, typing into the "search by keyword" section, and then selecting only one forum to search in. One's username isn't in the searchable keywords - you have to either click on the "search" button under a username/post, or use the "search by username" on the main search page, if you want to search by users.

Lots of different search options, and all of them poorly documented I agree. That may be my next "project" - documenting the different ways of searching these forums. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
