Okay, so I took Rashi today. Overcast sky, around 5 o'clock - so not too far from sundown. His face is too white when I adjust the pictures using the auto levels ... I'm afraid to try on my own because I'm drawn to over processed stuff - so I'm afraid that I don't have very good judgement. I also don't know that my monitor is calibrated correctly - I've checked it before, but I don't know that I made any difference.
So, is this bad? Should I just gently adjust it myself? what would you do?
Hmm, flickr must not be working right - I couldn't get my pictures to copy - hand to use the littler ones.

He looks too gray - your white balance needs adjusting. Try cloudy or shady if you have those presets in your editing software. The 3rd one down needs a little lightening on his face (adjust exposure up a bit), and if you put a light vignette on all of them, it will help the focus be on him more (and the ones in the other post as well probably).
