Question Which camera would you get?

I'm hoping to get to a store to look at them tomorrow...
Canon S5 IS
or
Canon A720IS

I have the A720IS and I love it. I was considering s5 but decided against it because it didn't have a viewfinder and I do use it sometimes.

This one? Amazon.com: Canon PowerShot Pro Series S5 IS 8.0MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom: Electronics

I mostly use the viewfinder on my Canon S5 to save battery life. I get grumpy about using the LCD too much LOL. (Mom, can I see? Can I see? between every pic...arggh!)

I was actually looking at that camera last night, on Amazon too.

One thing that troubles me is the removable lens cover. Has that been a pitb or not a big deal?

We got a digi camera when Ava was a baby, it's a dinosaur now but it has a retracting lens with a cover and THAT drives me nuts. I think it's partly the age of the technology too, but that's the one thing that sort of turns me off about the S5.

More details please!

The lens cover does pop off very easily - too easily. It also has a string attached to it - so I slip it on my wrist - but dh hooks it to the camera strap. I don't think it's goingn to be a big deal.
