I like the spinning one. It's giving me ideas.

I like my 1.8, but I don't love it. I did, however, love the 1.4 I tried but did not buy because it was too spendy for me at the time.

My brother has connections and was able to get me a good deal on the 50mm. The 50 does take some getting used to...the focal point is much smaller...you really have to pay attention to what it is focusing on. Many times I will get an eye in focus or a finger if the hand is in front of the face...makes me go ARGH. My sister got one too and she didn't like it at first until she figured it out and now she loves it for indoor shots and for the DOF you can get out of it. Outdoor is tricky too...no way to use 1.8 unless it is very overcast. Julie, I love that pictures...it really tells a story! Nice work.
