no that one has a unit that plugs into the d200 body and then the remote fires off that unit.

the d50/70/80 have a wireless remote that fires directly off the body itself, automatically...by nikon.

well that might be fine..i just want one for sometimes like today when i want to take a picture of my family and not run like a crazy lady to hop in the picture...haha!

i can use my d50 for those occasions

oh absolutely you could...

use the 50mm and the remote release, shoot in RAW and with ACR you'll be able to get similar saturation as you would from the d200 SOOC.

how long can you set your self-timer for on the d200?

i've got mine at 2sec on my d50 but i realize i could set it longer...not sure how long though, i've not checked.

oh i had it set for 10 seconds today b/c i was far away from the crew sitting on the rr tracks..but the pics sucked.
