This is my Sister and my Soon to be Brother-in-law.

All photos with my 50mm lens. I think I need a new lens if I am going to do very much of this. I really felt the limitations of the lens.

i feel limited with an adult with that lens.

i find it great for the immobile child but when shooting adults i need a little more space.

Yeah, I just got that lens as well 50 mm 1.8. I'm not feeling it yet. I tried a very nice 50 mm 1.4, but it was over $350, so I got the cheaper one. It is helpful for taking indoor pics without a flash, but everything always looks yellowish to me.

But, your pictures look great!

I LOVE my 50mm!! But it's hard to get used to it being a prime. I'm so used to zooming in and out.
