Now I do not have a dslr. I have a Konica Minolta DiMage something... See what I know. Anyway I grew up with my father continually taking pictures and toting around his lenses! LOL! They even went to Vietnam with him. I think that As I am growing older and have my own children I am realizing how much I can capture of them and our life not only for me but for our family and are descendants. Pictures speak so many languages and so many words.
Any way before I invest in a great camera I want to learn some basics to include thinking outside of the box and to look at everything as a possibility for a photo. ANyway, last month we went to the International Balloon Festival and I had a wonderful opportunity to take many pictures. I am very excited about some of them and wanted to share them.
Please give this newbie honest feedback. I can see a drastic improvement over the last year since I starte taking photos and I want the progress to continue.

Ooooh, I think you've got an eye for it Ashley, I really like them a lot! The second and sixth are my faves! I'm not feeling the crop on #3 but that's the only one I'd change.

and the one in my siggy - I have sooo many more I wish I could share. There are some balloon ones too that I was proud of. Most of these though came from that weekend though. I am working on perspective and getting down and taking shots at 1/2 the height of my subject and to not always look at them head on.
Thank you Michele! The 7th one is actually much more vibrant and I like it more as a hard copy. I wasn't too sure about the 2nd one because I misfocused the 1st banner but I like the depth that I was able to get.
I added a TON more...lol! Too critical of ourselves!
