DD wants to start photography

We have no "real" camera. Any suggestions/links? I don't want to spend a fortune and have her change her mind. (She *is* 13 y/o.)

TIA!

I'd wait til the day-after-thanksgiving sales when you could pick up a decent digital for under $100. I'd stick with digital since the cost of film/developing can get so expensive.

yeah. definatly go digital. I spent a fortune when I was a kid on film (read: spent a fortune of my parents money) and processing.

if you can though try to get something where she can make adjustments to things like shutter speed and apature. maybe even try to get a cheap dslr. that will teach her the most about it rather then just point and shoot.

also see if you can get a copy of photoshop so she can do her own post processing. its a great program to do that in. if you cant get photoshop then I hear gimp is just as good and free, but I havnt tried it.
