First shots w/Rebel XT!

Here's one of my favorites:

It's in my sig, slightly smaller.

That is untouched in Photoshop...would be interested to hear how others might alter it, adjust color balance, etc.

I have a bunch of others (WAY too many - this whole digital thing is a revelation!) but will have to post them slowly; I'm on 56K connection and one that keeps cutting out on me, at that. (When the weather is bad, our phone line quality goes way down.)

This was shot with a Canon Rebel XT with a Canon 28-105 lens at f/4.0, Aperture Priority mode, ISO 800. I'm interested in experienced opinions on those settings too. I was just playing around.

Okay I'm still working on uploading this, but here's the first page of my favorite shots. I optimized them for web in Picasa but I'm afraid they're still quite large. Interested in feedback on that.

There's a link to the second page at the bottom...I'm still working on that page so it might not work yet.

Thanks for looking!

(edited to fix link!)

Isn't it a blast to take pics with these things? I'm kind of obsessed myself!

Your sig pic looks great. I'm just learning about reading my histogram and knowing what aperature I want yada yada right now.... so much to learn. But the bottom line is that my pics are already a thousand times better even just using the auto setting, even with the flash indoors.

Have fun!

Cute shot! I think the settings are fine -- you just want to watch the light a little bit -- see how there is a hot spot on his chin?

As for photoshop, I would just adjust the curves a bit and a little bit of sharpen to give it some pop...
