What kind of camera do you use? Which ones take CLEAR pics?

I am disgusted with my camera. Its a Samsung zoom 115. Its been in the repair shop once already. I have had it for about 3 1/2 yrs. The samsung I had before this one took really good upclose pics. As much as I love taking pictures of my boys, I really get irritated lately when they come back from being developed and they are not focused. My camera is autofocus and won't let you take a picture if you are too close etc. I love up-close pics that show details like eyelashes, etc. This camera just won't do that with ultra clear pics. I use kodak800 film or 400 film. I just got a role back from the beach where I was expecting/hoping for bright colorful pics of the boys and I get dull pics.

So what kind of camera do you use? I also have a Sony cybershot 3.3 digital that I use for online pics, but I am shopping around for a regular snapshot camera with panoramic option that also zooms fairly close and that will take a good up close shot without being blurry. I see lots of bright, colorful , clear pics here in siggy lines......what kind of camera are you using lol?

I want to purchase another and would like your input on what brands/etc to look for. Thanks!

I've had a Canon Rebel for several months. I really like it. I wanted really good pictures without a professional camera.

I bought a better zoom lens than the one that it came with...it's a 55-200 that I use a lot. I used it for the picture in my sig.

I have a Nikon D70. Nikon just came out with a more affordable version called the D50 that I heard great things about.

This is with my D70:
