besides the obvious "is your lens cap on??"

have you changed your batteries lately?? Maybe there is just not enough juice in it to take a picture even though your "camera light on" comes on?

Oh I am so so sad and depressed about my darling camera - but your post really made me laugh lol. Do you have a Kodak camera too ? I've read thru their tech support pages over and over and don'; find anything about this..... And the worst part about all this is my DH wanted to take the digital camera to Las Vegas for a conference he's gone to yesterday and I refused and made him take the regular camera......and to think after all that I screwed up the camera :-(

I had similar problems with my camera and the tech support pages on kodak's site are not helpful at all. I ended up sending it in to be fixed and some main board needed to be replaced. Next time I buy a camera, it won't be Kodak - I know so many people who have had problems with those dig cameras.

Patti - do you remember how much the repairs cost ? One would think the stupid camera would last more than a year - $450 for 15 mths use I'm wondering whether I should just save for a new one or get this one repaired.......

Thanks !

I just got my camera back last week. The whole process took about two weeks. It was free for me cause I only have had the camera since November and it's still under warranty. With Kodak, you can send it to them and if it's not under warranty they will find out what's wrong and then contact you and tell you how much it will cost to fix it before they actually do. Only downside is, if you decide you don't want them to fix it it'll cost $30 to ship it back to you....in which case, I'd tell them to eat the @%^$*& camera!

WoW $450 for a digital camera..i realize they cost that much sometimes, but I think Kodak is kinda cheap ugh.

I got mine for $175 on one of the homeshopping channels (either qvc or hsn cant remember) last Christmas AND it's a 5.0 MP!!! It was all I got for Christmas but totally worth it =). It's not super fancy but it's got great clarity except the flash is super bright.

It's a Mustek camera.

Im sorry you ladies are having such difficulties Id totally cry if that happened to me.

I have a Toshiba and My camera was 14 months when it started not working properly Toshiba's tech support stunk too!! it was going to cost more to get it fixed so I ended up looking on ebay and got my same camera that I spent $200 for for $30 (because it was missing something) Good luck trying to get it fixed.. or working again!!
