I also love my diva, but I have cloth pads for at night time and use a cloth pantie liners for a few days before af just in case it comes earlier then expected
Totally that. I LOVE my diva. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Seriously. I can't believe I went so many years without it. A peri bottle next to the potty to wash it out and clean up makes it SO nice and just about as easy as using an OB tampon. SOOO go for reuseable!

yeah...I don't know how I waited for so long....the extra money up front was so worth it. I was unsure about spending the $35 (got it at WhFd)..With one income, I thought Dh was going to freak ..."you spent what on a WHATT?" But he was not even interested..."nope don't need to know about that"....
But it paid for itself in about two months. I always thought my flow was super heavy because I was constantly in the bathroom changing or dealing with a leak. But after the cup (which has a convenient measuring side line!) I see how much there actually is. I am at the point where I can tell what is going on and after the second day I can go out and not empty all day...It's like AF never existed....well, except for the no "relations" part..hehe!
So I still have days where I am in too much of a rush or I am half asleep and I get a leak...but not like it used to be. I never had to trim anything either...I just adjust. I told my obgyn about it and she says it is the most amazing thing she has ever heard if...of course I had to explain it about 10 times....I also use the nuva ring and in the beginning I still went on until Sat (new ring day) and I would have to use both at the same time. Not a prob...both flexible, no discomfort. So yeah I'd say I swear by it and I am an advocate for the cup for all my friends and family.
oh, and if it seems gross to some people, I just remind them of what they are sitting in one week a month...not too fun, eh?!?! If you don't mind that then fine...but I sure did. I just feel that it is a time of month we should be celebrating and all that jazz..not complaining..sorry so long...I finally have the pc to myself!

Cool! I just got a Diva to try after tossing my Keeper years ago. I'm hoping it works well for me. Gonna get to try it here for the first time any day now.
It doesn't gross me out at all...now I am just a little nervous it'll suck out my IUD, so I am crossing fingers. Getting that puppy in was not fun at all (the IUD).
My gift to myself after my last baby was cloth pads. I love them. I have a variety, mostly from ebay sellers. Now I do wish I could track down a few of them to buy more, because with regular use they do eventually get un-fuzzy and I could use a few new ones. I use a wet bucket that I change the water in once or twice a day, and wash usually every day. Also, I use an ob for one or two heavy nights because I have just not been able to eliminate night leaks without a tampon.
For more on diva cups and keepers and the like, I think there are some very frank discussions in Private Place (is that what it's called?).
Now my next step "out there" is that I am very tempted to take my extra cloth baby wipes and turn them into cloth tp....

We made the switch to cloth tp not to long ago. I told dh when he was on his way home for leave, and he told me he would never use them, so I bought him a roll of tp. Wouldn't you know, we still have that FULL roll?! he loved them.
We get ours frrom emibeans! They are so soft and so cute!!
