Awesome. Do you live in a mild climate where you can stick w/ the filtered vo or do you have to convert to biodiesel in the winter? I really want an old Mercedes to run on vo.

its pretty mild here in georgia, but the veggie oil tank is behind the 3rd row seat in the storage area of the suburban (which will be a garage so no worry about it turning solid). oh and we have a warmer that came with the car (it was originally from canada so its prepared for super cold climate)

Wow, that's really exciting!

I'd like to try that someday. It's done with a diesel engine, yes?

Oh, and I think you have a really fun blog!

I can't wait to get there Branwyn! We are buying a Mercedes in 2 months and plan to buy the converter kit a few months later. Where did you buy your kit, and how much was it (if you don't mind sharing!)?

of course i dont mind!
we got the kit from greasecar.com it was $1400 and you can pay an extra $300 for the digital controller (it allows you to flush out the system so there is no oil in the fuel line that could gel up when you arent using the car, and it tells you how much "fuel" you have, the temperature, etc)
