Microwaves

I haven't had a microwave in my adult life. I don't like them. I hate the noise they make, the energy they create and in general they just really creep me out. I have heard about the test they did watering the plants with microwaved water and them not growing, but I think I might have also heard that myth was busted. I still don't like them.

Anyway, my new roommate would like to have on in the kitchen. I nixed the idea but kind of feel bad. I don't want to be all crazy queen bee around here, but I hate the idea of having on around. I need to consider it further and thought I would ask around here for your opinions or knowledge.

TIA!

I'll give you my random thoughts about this.

I do not like microwaves, because I am not sure what it does to the food~yk? It does decrease nutrients AND it makes it more acidic...once in a while I do not think it is awful like anything else. We have a micro that I want to replace with a small convection oven...it is only used on a rare occasion to heat up a hot drink..maybe twice a month. (I am sure dh sneaks and uses it when I am out of town...haha)

I do not worry about having a micro in the house for the whole electromagnetic radiation thing...My husbnad is an electrician, has worked with satellites...knows all about waves, frequencies etc...and assures me it is not a prob.

If you have a micro in the house, there is always the temptation to use it. (hence the heating of hot drinks twice a month)

I say it is no biggie, and it would be a nice thing to concede to a roommate to keep them happy.

SO there...lol!
