Dr. Hauschka and me, we are best friends.

I wish I had before and after pics.

My skin has been a mess, especially after having Jake - so that's, what, seven years now! Ack. Acne, blackheads, and rosacea plague me. Pimples turn into ugly, dark scarred spots instead of healing.

I had just about given up...then heard from a friend that Dr. Hauschka products have a great reputation. I went to a local store that carries yummy, crunchy, natural skin care and body care products. Bought the trial kit for blemished/oily skin.

It's been 12 days. My skin looks better than it ever has before. I'm a total convert. I have had a few whiteheads, but tiny ones, more like my skin clearing gunk from within - nothing like my usual. No cystic pimples. Rosacea - gone. Just like that. My skin's texture is vastly improved and I look in the mirror and see healthy glow.

I know I sound like an infomercial. But I'm a total convert. I read the ingredients - so natural! I should be able to make this myself! But, I'm going to purchase it, because there's obviously more to it than just throwing together some almond meal and essential oils.

The website: Holistic Skin Bath Beauty Body Products Treatments All Organic from Dr. Hauschka Skin Care

Anyway, just wanted to share. If someone out there is desperate for natural, healthy skin care and has skin problems, it's worth a try. Warning: serious sticker shock. The trial size though, is really reasonable; I still have enough left for a few more days, and she threw in trial sizes of a couple of other moisturizers. I think I'm going with the Quince Day Cream for my daily moisturizer instead of the Normalizing Day Oil, because it seems to fit my skin's needs better.

Going now, to wash my face with these delicious products!

Dr. H's stuff is great! Expensive, yes, but worth it. The energy and vitality of the ingredients used are so important. One of the many reasons why biodynamics is MUCH more than just another organic farming method.

I am a fan of Dr. Hauschka as well. For those who cannot obtain it locally (or who just like a good deal ) I want to share these rescources:

Organic Natural Skin Care, Aromatherapy, Cosmetics, Beauty Products - Saffron Rouge sells it. Unless you are in Canada or NY there is no sales tax, free shipping with $100 order. You can also choose 4 free samples with your order. Either more Dr H products, or one of the other brands they carry (Weleda, Jurlique & others).

Beautyhabit Fine Personal Care and Aromatherapy also carries it. I am in CA so I pay sales tax from them, but if you dont live in CA you wont. Free shipping over $100 with them as well. Free samples too, but they choose them, you do not. They are having a great Dr. H promotion though:

Dr. Hauschka Gift!
With your $75 or more Dr. Hauschka purchase, receive a deluxe deep cleansing trial kit that includes mini sizes of: Cleansing Cream, Facial Steam Bath, Cleansing Clay Mask, Normalizing Day Oil and the new Rose Day Cream Light!

It *is* spendy, but you get what you pay for! Cheaper products may give you results you like - but at what price? Nice skin today but cancer in the future is not a good trade off! With these products you get results & you dont have to worry about putting dangerous chemicals on your body. And I look at it as an investment in my skin: taking care of my skin now is going to help my skin look good as I age.

Hey Sunflower - thanks for those links. I feel good buying it in Montpelier at a local store - it cost me $3 less than I had sourced online, not even sure if I paid tax on that, I'm so confused about what they tax in Vermont, LOL. And they told me to pick a sample cream, but didn't have a whole tube of the Rose Day Cream Light so I got the regular Rose Day Cream. Not quite as good a deal as that second link's free gift, but still - when I bought the $21 trial kit she gave me 2 tubes of moisturizer to try, too...I appreciated her recommendations as well.

I agree - a locally owned independent retailer is the way to go! I dont have anyone in my town who sells it, so I feel good ordering it online from these businesses. I buy it in a neighboring town when I can, but otherwise I have to ask my dh to stop after work & he always picks up the WRONG thing! LOL

It didn't work for me (nothing has) but I know it does work for many people. When I was looking for yet another thing to try a salesperson at Whole Foods told me how it had helped her friend. She had heard about it from several others who loved it. I love the purity and the philosopy so it is great you found such a wonderful product that works. I still reccomend it to other people even though it didn't work for me.
