I, the freakish Irish woman who never burns got a sunburn on my back. I got it Friday and it still hurts today. My bra was less fun than it normally is and I used my softest one!
So I broke down and bought some Noxema. I didn't know how much pain I was in until I slathered it all on! I'm almost pain free and just about cried in relief! Annabelle says I have the back of a Snow Woman now

I love Noxema. I usually have some on hand, not to use, but just for the smell!! The few times in my life that I have burned a little I used Noxema and it really helped!

i used noxema with my hellish sunburn a couple weeks back. it helped until the burn dried the noxema to a crisp on my skin...then it was baaad.
but...that was a pretty deep second degree burn. it's been 10+days and i'm on my 4th peel. ick.
This sounds strange, but take extra vitamins, and live on broccoli for a while. A, C & E will mop up the free radicals. And the broccoli has a substance that creeps into your cell nuclei and edits and repairs them.
( I haven't been able to eat broccoli since finding this out- the idea of creepy little green worms with broccoli bud heads worming into my cells, and touching the dna....AAhh.) ( OTOH, it really does repair damage, so I'm being irrational.)
And grapes, and mangoes, and black bean soup or salsa wiht red pepper- started with onions and garlic- it's body repair in a bowl. Handily enough, you can top it with mango, or have the mango, and maybe some yogurt for dessert. This is the big skin repair dinner I recommended to subjects.
I hope you start to feel better...
What is noxema? why isn't it crunchy? Isn't it that smelly face wash recommended to spotty teenagers?
