how do you volunteer at school with small children?

I'm about to start volunteering at ds1's school, mostly b/c ds2 needs to be out of the house, and I can't afford more preK. DD1 is one. This looks really hectic to me, but the teacher says she's done it before. Am I being wildly optimistic? Can it work? Did it work for you?

I have little ones and I bring them with me to class parties and luncheons and such, but when I brought mine to make copies for the teacher, it was a mini-nightmare! I have 3 not yet in school, though! I have known lots of mamas who brought their one little in to volunteer and did just fine! My one girlfriend put hers in a stroller while she helped in the class. I think it will work out fine for you! I wish it would for me!!
