need kitty litter advice :)

i finally realized that that terrible everclean that was so dusty was also bad for me and my kitties! so i looked at trader joe's and bought their two brands, as i am now so confused.

they have the "space" brand, which is silica pellets, and it says you're still supposed to throw out the waste in a plastic bag. it says that you replace the pellets when they dissolve-- how will i know this? how well does this work?

the other kind they had, pine pellets, it advises you to scooop out solid waste and flush it, which i like the idea of, although my old tooilets might not like... and then it says you can use the dissolved pellets -- again, how will i know?-- can be used for mulch.

what do you all use? how do you dispose of kitty waste and used kitty litter?

thanks!

I tried that Swheat Scoop that you can flush. It was ok, but super duper messy. You can only flush a tiny bit at a time, and you have to wait like 15 minutes and it takes 2-3 flushes each time for me. I eventually just went back to clay litter and tossing.
