Waaaah! J's been talking about chopping off his dreadlocks!!!
I know, I know... It's just hair... It's his decision.
But, I am going to be really sad if he goes through with it.
He's not happy with the way they look on top, the loose hairs that are there before they lock with the nearest dread. He's getting tired of the sideways glances and way some people treat him because he's got dreads.
But, dangit, those beautiful dreadlocks are part of what initially attracted me to him. Some people think they're gross, freaky, but I think they're sexy.
For now, I'm keeping the scissors stashed with my beading suplies. But if he does decide to go ahead and chop them off, I'm going to need my Cruchy sisters for a sholder to cry on.

Awwww...Matt never had dreads, but he used to have long hair and a beard. No more. He's clean-shaven most of the time with a really short - almost military! - haircut. He looks gorgeous but I miss the long, shaggy boy I met twelve years ago...once in a while.

My dh had long beautiful dreads when we first met, he cut them off after a bit and I think I missed them more than him. I still miss them, but he's still my man ya know

Yikes, there is TONS to do before then. Gulp.
Aw Meeshi, even though it's something you are very attached too it might be time to let those dreads go. I just cut off 6 inches of hair two weeks ago and couldn't feel better. J says he's tired of getting weird looks, I understand him. Remember he'll still be the same guy with that high libido! LOL!
Also you have changed after giving birth and I'm sure he loves you even more than before, who knows you might actually love the new do'
I completely understand what you're feeling, my dh cut his dreads about 2yrs ago and now he's incouraging me to cut mine (which are now down to mid- back) but I really don't want to! it's taken me 5 yrs to get what I've got and I'm a lil attached! If it's all fuzzy at the top of the dread maybe he just need to do a lil maintanance, I'm not suggesting wax, but I've used coconut oil and it relaxed some of the frizz and helped it to suck into the dread a lil faster. Hope this helps, and hang in there mama!
