I think there has been previous discussion of this, but my family has been hit with influenza again. The kids are improving, but I feel like I'm getting worse.

I cannot take over the counter decongestants...I have a bad reaction to them.

Any advice on natural/homeopathic/etc remedies? Something that might be in my house would be great...cause I'm not sure I'm up to going out.

And also any suggestions on how to not reinfect ourselves would be great. Changing toothbrushes, washing bedding/towels with hot water...

I can't remember the last time I was hit by the flu like this...

GSE (grapefruit seed extract) concentrate or pills (available at any HFS)

while still sick - soak toothbrushes in diluted GSE. when the flu is gone, boil the toothbrushes.
eating raw foods will chase it out as well, though when i am ill the last thing i want is raw food lol

Aw thanks for the info Branwyn. I know about that homeopathic...I wonder if I should get dh to pick some up on the way home. Although I'm well into my misery...not at the start of the flu...I should get him to ask there I think.

eta: I was all excited to find my grapefuit extract...but of course it's the peel (love that eo) not the seed.
