Looking for substitute

First no flames please.....
I would like to find a replacement for my swiffer wet jet. I am sure it is toxic but works like magic or at least close enough in my book SO I can quikie mop each day after my 4 kids and 2 puppies and 1 cat....
I would love to use my products and have a washable instead of disposable pads. ANy ideas???
TIA
Karen

EcoLovables mop. I love mine and you just have to take the pad off, rinse it out and put it back on. Is very much like the Swiffer but the pad is not throw away. When it gets really yucky, you put it in the washer.

I love my envirosteamer. It has no chemicals, cleans and disinfects. You can get them at a good price at www.overstock.com
I've had mine for about 5 years (or whenever they came out, can't remember exactly) and I've not needed to replace the cleaning cloths.

If you ask in the market board you could probably find someone that makes washable cloths for your swiffer. I have used old prefolds cut to fit then they are washable.

Thanks but...

I do use rags in my swiffer "dry" but I really want the
WET JET part. You know the one that squirts probable neurotoxins on the floor then soaks them up in a Feminine hygine type pad...
I really love not having a mop and bucket of water. I envision using a tiny bit of Dr B in warm water or water vinegar to (in my best commerial voice) ;;;Just squirt and mop;;;
Thanks
Karen

I use the Envirosteamer too. Probably have the same model as the previous poster, and it's been going strong for years.

No buckets to deal with. You just fill the unit and mop away. Dries quickly, and gets floors clean.

Does the envirosteamer work on hard wood floors too?

I use the ecolovables pads too.

For cleaning solution, I use the hottest water I can get, 1/4 cup vinegar and a splash of Dr. Bronners.

I use a Clorox Ready Mop. The bottle is refillable. I rinsed it out well and fill it with hot water and vinegar. I also use microfiber cloths that I bought on the market board a year or so ago. The whole thing works pretty well.
