I stink!

I've switched to Organic Botanicals Lavender deodorant. And I stink! I used to wear dove, and never stunk. I didn't even use soap and I smelled ok. Now I've been showering daily b/c of no shampoo thing, and I use Dr. Bronners soap on my body. And I stink!!! What natural deodorant do you use, and does it TRULY work and please let's not kid ourselves here, be honest do you stink. I personally don't find my odor offensive, I even like it, but I ride my bike to school and people have to sit by me, and I don't thinks it's fair of me to impose my stink on them. So, What makes you smell good?

I have never had great luck w/ the natural deoderants. One thing that does help is to keep trying brands until you find one that works better than others. THen, keep it with you and reapply during the day. I also found that if I switched between two brands (about half way through the bottle/stick) it worked better. Good luck. I actually use an antiperspirant once or twice a week and the natural deoderant the other days. That works pretty well for me and at least I have cut way back.

i use the crystal deo, and it typically works great. Since I have gotten pg I find if I dont reapply it midafternoon then I will smell by the end of the day, but like I said this has only been since I have been pg-- typically one app works all day and night too even.

The crystal works best for us. Axel even uses it - which is a huge step up from his uber toxic crap that he used to have his dad send him from Venezuela!

You do need to shower everyday or do a quick swipe with a soapy wash cloth if no time for a shower. My only complaint is that it stings putting it on if you have just shaved. Otherwise it is great. And it lasts FOREVER so it is a real bargain too!

What brand of crystal, what is the name of it? How much does it $$?

I don't wanna shower everyday! I have to wake up earlier and it wastes water.

The crystal worked okay for me, but dh hated it. We use Kiss My Face active enzyme deodorant. Don't get the liquid one though, it doesn't work. We use the scented solid. It doesn't have a strong smell, just a little.

The only time mine doesn't work is a few minutes after I drink coffee. I think that my body detoxes when I drink coffee, so I try to drink it first thing in the morning and then shower.

Here they are:

I buy it wholesale though, can't stand paying $5 for doedorant.

They sell it at Nature's and at the Alberta co-op. Even at Fred's. It is the one in the purple container. I think it is like $6 (??) but it really does last forever. Ours has lasted 6 months and still has most of it left. And that is 2 people using it daily... (yes, we share deo. lol. )

I use Kiss My Face lavendar and i LOVE it. I never tried the crystal so I jsut use the normal stick. I've been using it for years and never had odor problems with it. I've also found it lasts forever compared the the mainstream type deodorants i had used before.
Hope that helps.
much love

I tried to use the Crystal, but I didn't like the "dip in water" part of it. I felt like I was sort of pushing the crystal stuff to the edges of my arm-pit and leaving the center un-protected... I know I am a dork!
Last week, after reading this board, I went to my healthfood store on a mission to find something that works. I found that the Crystal has a spray!!!
I LOVE this stuff now. It has NO smell, so that strange "fragrance plus BO" smell does not whiff up from my pit mid-day. I added a few drops of lemon oil (not for the weak or sensitive). It smells nice and fresh. I try to spray twice a day, but if I forget I do not smell bad at all.

I stunk. I couldn't stand myself. Post pardum hormones make it awful. Anyway. . . on the advice of a mama here I started taking chlorophyll (the mint flavored one is even palatable) and only one tablespoon a day has the problem solved!! Unbelievable!! I use Kiss My Face liquid crystal deoderant as well and no more stink. A miracle.
