Getting puke out of the carpet - help needed

My son is sick and puked some nasty stuff all over the carpet - eeewww. What can I use to get it up? I've heard not to use wet baking soa on carpet because its hard to get out. Any ideas?

I use bi-o-kleen BacOut enzyme cleaner. I don't know if you'll be able to pick any up soon enough to matter. It's nice to have it on hand. Last summer I went through gallons of it. I had a bed-wetter, a toddler in cloth and a new puppy. I think I would've had to replace the carpet if it weren't for this stuff.

I get it at Kokopelli's Green Market but I think a handful of wahms carry it too.
