natural help for pms?

I need help mamas. since AF came back post baby my pms is sooo bad. DS is still nursing alot. In fact some days almost exclusivly, at 16 months. I have a 30 day cycle now. the first week after my period i'm fine, second mild to moderate depression, then after that it starts getting immobilizing. during the depressed parts i don't eat as well because i don't have the energy to cook. I know that this only makes it worse but if i try to even think aobut cooking it makes me cry. I'm not being able to clean my house, or do anything, I cry every day and when i am not crying i jsut feel so empty or this pinching awful pain in my chest. I have always had problems with depression but this is more than i can bare. I need help. I can't afford a psychiatrist and would perefer to treat naturaly anyway. I knwo i need toeat better...i am really trying but it's hard. I've tried resuce rememdy before and it doesn't help me in any noticable way.

edited to add that i am taking a food based prenatal vitamin...

sorry about typing...nak

Progesterone cream. I know lots of mamas that it has helped. My mom uses it for menopause. You need to be careful of brand though, some are too weak to really do anything. My mom uses FemGest. It is pricey, but a little goes a long way. She gets it wholesale through www.azurestandard.com

It helped me! It does cost a lot but the tube I'm working on now has been with me 3 months and is still over a third full.
Rescue remedy doesn't work for me either. There is a product called Happy Camper that does work for me though! Oh looky- I happen to have the bottle sitting right here so I can tell you whats in it
Passion Flower
Kava Kava
Siberian Ginseng
Gotu Kola
Kola Nut
Schizandra (fruit)
Wood Beltony
Lavender
It does say not to take while nursing but they all say that, so maybe one of the Mama's in the know about that sort of thing (yoooohooo....Kristerae) could let you know if you really should not take it or not. I could send you a few to try if you'd like, as it is not cheap either (but $12 a bottle is a cheap price to pay if it keeps me even )

Progesterone cream:
Rub 1/4 tsp or so into your skin twice a day. I put it in a new spot each day (forearm, thigh, chest, hip, inner thigh, etc). I've heard a lot of conflicting advice on when it should be used. Some say 21 days then stop for 7 days, some say 2 weeks then stop for 2 weeks, and others say (and the way I use it) to start right after ovulation and continue until menses.

My kitty?!?!?!?! Coffee just shot out through my nose!!!

I just ordered some through Azure!! I love them. I don't order from them anymore cuz the drop off is about 20 miles away and the price of gas just doesn't make it worth it. Now I can order online and have most things shipped via UPS!!! Yeah, that made my day!!!

I'll let you know how it works!!! I should be getting *****y in about 3 weeks. lol I've been taking prozac just during my pms time and it works but I don't like taking that. I tried SJW and it makes me have really bad mood swings. I have heard so much about progesterone cream. I hope I have positive results.

Don't know if you drink coffee, but switching from coffee to green tea really helped me. It's taken me years to admit that coffee gives me insane PMS!

I've had some success with Optivite and extra B-6 and Magnesium. Also Fish Oil seems to be a real stabalizer for me.

I've also heard Vitex reccomended but vitex and I do *not* get along.
