I love this forum! Honest to goodness this thread made me feel so good I could never really spend too much time on it. You know us men, don't like to deal with emotion too much. LOL

anyway, I told everyone I'd report back.

Ugh, i didn't get the job. I impressed the first interviewer so much that she went and made her manager interview me right afterward, and he was impressed too. He said he thought I was going to be the one, (no promises though) and that he'd reccomend me to the general manager who was out for the week. That's when I told KD and she started this thread.

apparently I was contestant #2 of 2 dozen, and someone came along who had experience in the field, or some other more desireable trait, and the general manager insisted on them without interviewing me. It's possible they already knew the person too, Gilroy is a relatively small town.

I got a really nice rejection letter though(that's an ironic statement) which was personally written by the first interviewer. It wasn't some lame form letter, she actually took time out to address my situation, which was kind. She explained the circumstances and invited me back for any other position that would suit me in the future. She tells me that with my skills and personality, I'll have no problems finding a job soon.

HAH!!!!

I'm going to the temp agency on monday, because I only have one more unemployment check coming and have storage to pay for, and 2 car loans that won't wait. as well as credit cards (shame on me) and a grandma to pay back. at least I have a roof over my head though, and a family who loves me. and because of that, I can get right back into the swing of things and start looking again.

Although i was down for a day or so. apparently that night I yelled out S%$T!!!! at the top of my lungs in my sleep. My mom thinks it sounded angry, which was how I was feeling, so apparently I talk in my sleep. tee hee.

So anyway, thank you all for your kind thoughts words, and prayers. I know it will help me, (already has if I was only depressed for a day, normally it would be a few days to a week) and I know I'll find a job soon. God has a way of making me survive these little things by the skin of my teeth. I'd be willing to bet I'll have a job just in time the day I spend my last dollar. Hey, maybe that means I just need to blow all of my check when I get it, huh? LOL

anyway, thank you.
