The one thing I must have from TJ is bags and bags of frozen edamame.....
Ever since we went to dinner with Val (bluerosemama) and we both discovered how much our babies love it, it has become a staple in our house. I make up a big batch for lunch and then when the older girls come home from school they snack on it, and when dh comes home he finishes it off while waiting for dinner to be ready. lol.
We also get the og spaghetti sauces and other og things because they are less expensive there. I am really bummed out that their herbal shampoo has SLS in it though cuz the price is so good. We do get the conditioner though.

Airborne is another but I think they are more readily avalible at other sources by this time.
he-he... i bought some of this & never made it, but now we are clearing out all the wheat foods so I made it today....the kids tasted it,each said they were gonna have seconds....by the time they finished their 1st bowl they were all stuffed! Woo-hoo! My kids are always bugging me for food, today I get a reprieve!
Whole wheat english muffins and whole wheat crackers. We can't get those anywhere else, including the local HFS. Plus their organic marinara sauce is really cheap

Do you find it taste okay?? My DS has always loved edamame but the one time I bought frozen at the grocery store they were mushy and no one would touch them... Maybe I heat them wrong? How do you heat them?
TIA!

Boil water, drop them in for about 3 to 4 minutes... and then take them out and put a little bit of rock salt, or kosher salt on them. YUMMY!
Love Val
Ps I went today too... they have Kewis, and avacados, not to mention sales on free range chicken thighs and legs. I bought a bunch and put some in the freezer. Then we got snacks... Oh and something to add to the above list.
Mochi... it is a type of Japanese icecream wrapped in rice paste. They are so yummy! The green tea ones are the perfect end to a spicy meal!

We get the edamame in the pods. (TJ has bags of shelled edamame and I only get that if I am putting them into a soup or something. ) Anja loves how it tastes and it is made even better by being able to pop them out of the pods!
Some of the things we always pick up at Whole Foods(I don't shop there exclusively)-
StretchIsland Fruit Leathers (great for lunchboxes)
WholeFoods brand soymilk ($1.19/32 oz)
Tofu
whatever fruits and veggies are on sale
cashews and dried fruits in bulk section
carob covered raisins
quinoa
nutritional yeast
blackstrap molasses
Nature's Gate toothpastes
diaper cream (Weleda or Burt's Bee's)
almond butter
Just wanted to add that technically "mochi" in Japan is simply pounded rice . It is eaten plain with soy sauce or made into sweets (stuffed with sweet beans, or rolled in toasted soy flour with sugar). Whenever I see the "mochi" that is sold at the HFS I always go "huh?". It does sound yummy though )))))
