Is all aluminum bad?

I got an aveda compact for my foundation and it's made of recycled aluminum. I try to avoid all aluminum so should I return it?

Why I don't do aluminum - the only commonality among Alzhimerz (sp?) patients is that they have slightly higher levels of aluminum in their brains.

I have been wondering about this too...
I saw a show recently (Good Eats of all things BUT he seems to know his stuff and I like his show! LOL!) and it said while many studies have been done on aluminum, none have shown any negative health implication.

Interested to see what is said on this post...

OOooo! And what about parchment paper? Lined with silicone I think- Is that bad to heat and cook with? I won't ever cook or heat plastic (try avoiding it in general) but I like pocket cooking and parchment works wonders...
Sorry to highjack!

(edited to add: I know I am Off topic! LOL! Should have added that but i have been wondering about this (aluminum) with baking mostly (as well as cosmetics) but that lead my train of thought to parchment! LOL!)

Burt Bee's has some great stuff that has no crap in it. I only use eye liner... but it is the only natural one that I have ever tried that I like. I am thinking pretty seriously about getting it permanant... I know, not crunchy at all... but it is the ONLY thing I use... and I would rather not have the hassle. I have worn only eye liner for about 10 years now.

Aveda, Zia, Paul Penders, Dr. Hauschka, EccoBella, that's all I can think of right now. I like Aveda foundation.

So does anyone know if *this* aluminum would be bad? I'm just not sure if it's ALL aluminum or just what would be leeched in food or in deodorant, etc.
