Can I use this Witch Vera Aloe Gel on my ds?

He's 3 and his little hands are cracked and bleeding. His knuckles are just open wounds, and I feel terrible. I have been putting herbal kids salve on it when he's asleep, but I put it on me last night and it burns so I won't be using it.

I bought him some Burt's Res Q today to try.

He washes his hands a lot so I was thinking of making some hand sanitizer for him, but can't find pure aloe. I found some Witch Vera Aloe Gel by Jason here are the ingredients:
Aromasensible botanicals: lavender, penny royal and passion flower
witch hazel
aloe gel
extracts of chamomile, comfrey, and marigold
potassium carbomer
vit b5
arginine
natural color
chlorophyll
methylparaben

Would this be ok to use on him?

Thanks!

I'm not sure it's kosher or not, but you could try diaper rash cream. It has Zinc, which is key to healing little cracks and rashes, and minor scrapes and cuts. Also has Vit E usually, but it's usually from cod liver oil or some other non-vege source. If that's OK with you though, I'd reccomend it. I think there are some without the non-vege ingredients, just not super easy to come accross.

I might venture to say that the witch vera stuff sounds OK, but I'm not sure about the methylparaben and stuff. I believe all the natural stuff is OK. Aloe is antiseptic I think, encourages healing, and is soothing. Lavender is soothing even antifungal.

I've had good luck with Burt's ResQ. I just made some all-purpose healing salve for my dd's - it's olive oil infused with calendula, comfrey, and camomile with vitamin E and beeswax. It seems to work really well too. Maybe you can try something like that?
