UPDATE THAT IS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS...IN RESPONSE!!!

I have been in school for 4 years...I am graduating in May...hoping to attend law school next fall (I have already applied.) and I want to throw in the towel and quit today.

My soc prof accused me of cheating

I have never had something like this happen. She accused me of cutting and pasting last week's assignment and turning it in as this week's assignment...but really it WAS last week's assignment, I just submitted the wrong document. I mean come on the chapters weren't even related...it was 2 questions with 3 page answers for lesson 5 and 10 questions with 1 page answers for lesson 4...how does that even marry up when you look at it and the info matches EXACTLY the previous week including the title and header and document name...it is OBVIOUSLY a mistake. Sure give me a zero for being late and being a dumbass for not turning my assignment in and for forgetting to verify and check and for being absolutely EXHAUSTED but don't fail me in the class...send me to judicial committee because I fricking obviously turned in the wrong assignment (Or for this run on sentence from hell). THANK GOD I have the correct assignment saved on a jump drive with the correct date in the properties showing it was completed, just not turned in. That shows it was a mistake and I was just not paying attention. I am going to have to get an education attorney to fight this.

Damn...if I was trying to cheat I at least would have attempted to do something passable not simply resubmitting the same document from the previous week.

I just want to give up and quit school I am so upset and frustrated.

That is plain ****ing stupid. Have you talked to her dean?

I don't understand half the crap that happens in college. The material is easy enough to navigate - it's the flipping bureaucracy and the egos that are too much! I'm ready to quit this week, too.

Man, I'm feeling the same way today. I just want to crawl under a rock. I've been going for five years and will be done in December. I had a professor refuse to allow me to finish an incomplete last term. He could have just allowed me to finish the work, but he chose to totally dick me over instead. So frustrating!

I want to say it will be worth it, but alas I am also having one of those days that makes me feel like all I am doing is spinning my wheels. I've no job lined up for January and have no clue how I'm gonna pay my bills. Hmmm, lots of help I am.

But really, it will pay off. It will. We just gotta have faith.

Hey, do you want to go to an Amy Ray/ Brandi Carlisle concert on Saturday? We could have margaritas and share college war stories.

I would LOVE to...BUT it is AHS's homecoming dance and now that I have a non homeschooling teen...he has this bizarre expectation that he should participate in all the school activities associated this this It depends on car pool issues and whether dh is home...is it at verizon?

That's just absolutely rediculous. I hope you get it all sorted out and the dean looks at her like she's crazy.

UPDATE: finally got resolution this week. It went to the dean and when all was said and done...she agreed to not only accept my completed assignment but also agreed to grade the assignment and not count it as late

AND THEN THE BEST PART: When she sent me an email today saying that I got a 95% on the assignment she sent the wrong attachment...she sent lesson 6 instead of lesson 5...she did the same thing I did when she accused me of cheating. How on earth do I let that go it was priceless!!!

Priceless indeed Do you think she noticed? Did anyone tell her yet? Are you going to?

Importantly though - you got a good resolution and an A! Yay!

There is some sort of karma inbalance going on in my presence, so smugness and mentioning it to her will do nothing but bring me choking on chips(did that this week when being smug) or bring me a pile of work I can not handle (such as the pile that is growing as we speak)...it is karma or smiting, not sure which

So, I will not mention, although I do want to see my actual graded assignment, so I am not sure how to do that without bringing it up quandry!!!

I am so glad it is resolved and you even got credit on your assignment (Which I think you should have.)
And funny about sending the wrong attachment to you. Hopefully that will teach her just how easy it is to do.
